It scans up to 90 pages per minute (ppm) in simplex mode, up to 180 images per minute (ipm) in duplex mode and up to 15,000 pages per day, satisfying the needs of even the most demanding production environments. A large-capacity, 1000-page automatic document feeder (ADF), a revolutionary paper path and a convenient exit stacker increase user-friendliness.

The ADF also handles a wide variety of paper sizes, from A7 to A3, and can also be configured for stacks of 250 or 500 pages. And because it includes SCSI-2 and video interfaces, as well as industry-standard TWAIN and ISIS® drivers, it integrates well with many imaging systems.

The M4099D scanner also comes standard with both a SCSI and Video interface on every unit for compatibility with most hardware interface boards. The M4099D scanner also includes industry-standard TWAIN and ISIS drivers for use with a wide variety of scanning applications and software solutions. Its 400 DPI optical resolution and 10-bit internal grayscale capabilities deliver finer, more detailed images.

Unprecedented Paper Handling
The M4099D scanner was designed to handle the widest range of paper types and sizes with the least amount of hassle so you can keep on scanning. Its revolutionary automatic document feeder and paper path design enables you to reliably handle documents of different sizes and weights. The scanner offers the ability to choose from five paper thickness settings and provides superior handling when scanning extra light or heavy documents.

To increase the integrity of your batch processing, the M4099D includes new break roller document separation technology as well as Infrared double-feed detection, which help to eliminate document double-feeds. You never have to worry about missing important images.

Automatic Color Dropout
Forms processing is easier than ever with the M4099D's color dropout features. Easily configured through the scanner's control panel or software configuration, the M4099D will automatically drop out red, green or blue. It can also be configured to dropout different colors on the front and back with just one setting.
