Adrenaline KF-4100

Working in an IBM environment? The KF-4100 Scan Accelerator for NT turns your IWPM workstation into a high-performance scanning platform, without any changes to your current IWPM software. Based on the Kofax Adrenaline image processing accelerator, this low-cost solution boosts scanner performance to near rated speeds by offloading all scanning functions and an array of advanced image-processing functions to a dedicated board. The KF-4100 can increase scanning speeds by as much as 100% and also provide rated-speed support for bar code recognition, patch code detection, image deskew, forms recognition and more.

The KF-4100 may include a Kofax Adrenaline 1700v or 850v hardware accelerator (depending on your scanning volume) and special software for a seamless interface with your IBM system.

Features / benefits

Easy to configure, easy to use. The KF-4100 has been optimized for ease-of-use. Users point-and-click through common dialog boxes to configure the scanner and select image-processing options. Configurable features include automatic deletion of blank pages and page-sides, page size and dpi settings, pre-scan, input and output tray selection, auto-length detection, and real- time image rotation.

Scalable scanner support. The KF-4100 supports a wide assortment of production-level scanners in all price-to-performance categories. And the Kofax solution is highly scalable: Today it can drive both simplex and duplex scanners running at speeds from 1,200 to 12,000 pages per hour, and it will keep pace with host/DASD improvements in the future.

KF-4100 Configurations

Note: Kofax is no longer adding enhancements or new scanner support for the KF-4100 product line. The KF-4100 video accelerators and software will continue to be supported and will still be available for order through the normal Kofax distribution channel; however, the SCSI accelerators have been discontinued and will no longer be offered.
