The iQ2280 storage system from iQstor delivers the high performance and

iQstor’s iQ2280 Storage System is a self-contained storage system that brings an
intelligent, yet affordable solution to small and mid-sized companies. Combining
proven enterprise-level features with cost-effective Serial ATA (SATA II) disk
drives, the iQ2280 delivers efficient storage growth, scalability, data
protection and storage automation – at a price point that’s dramatically less
than comparable Fibre Channel solutions.
Availability and Reliability
The iQ2280 is a full-featured storage system, providing maximum flexibility,
scalability and cost-effectiveness for business, large and small. With all key
internal components being hot-swappable and redundant, the iQ2280 ensures data
protection and delivery to keep business-critical applications running smoothly.
All in all, iQstor’s iQ2280 delivers a robust and economical SATA solution with
the availability, manageability, data integrity and enterprise-level
functionality that, until now, have only been available to enterprise users.
Configurations
Each iQ2280 supports up to fifteen SATA disk drives providing 11.25TB of storage
capacity (with 750GB drives). Integrated RAID levels 0, 1, 1+0, 3, 5, 50, and 6
provide data protection and help keep business critical applications running.
Additionally, as storage management requirements evolve, administrators have the
option of enabling enhanced storage services such as virtualization, snapshots,
mirroring, storage provisioning, remote replication and automated capacity
growth.

significantly enhance the productivity of storage administrators in a
consolidated storage environment. By virtualzing storage pools, the iQ2280
significantly decreases the cost of storage hardware through efficient storage
allocation and increased disk utilization. Storage management services such as
snapshot and remote replication enable server-less backups, disaster recovery,
business continuity, data mining and application testing. In addition, the
capacity management feature provides on-line virtual capacity expansion, solving
a time and labor intensive administrator issue.
