Formerly the 4/16 GB DAT drive, the 4/8 GB DAT drive incorporates a new enhanced internal tape head cleaning mechanism which extends the time between head cleanings, reduces errors in reading and writing tape, and extends the life of the tape drive itself. The 4/8 GB DAT drive offers an additional feature of a 25% faster data transfer rate.
