Quantum developed the SuperLoader scalable tape autoloader to meet our customers’ needs for maximum data density, capacity and performance in a 2U rack-mount form factor. The SuperLoader advances autoloader technology with upgradeability and scalability versus conventional systems. Its design utilizes a Drive Carrier Assembly (DCA) that enables you to easily upgrade the SuperLoader from one technology to another - such as DLT1 to SDLT - allowing capacity and performance to increase as your backup needs grow. The SuperLoader’s unique 8+1 or 16+1 cartridge configuration scales to your needs, too. An extra cartridge to be added to a fully populated system.

The SuperLoader provides the widest range of drive options available, with both DLTtape™ and LTO™ technology. These options, plus Web-based administration for maintenance, diagnostics and firmware upgrades away from your office, help make the SuperLoader anexcellent choice.

Through Quantum StorageCare™ Services, a three-year Rapid Exchange warranty is included with the purchase of each SuperLoader. Under the Rapid Exchange program, Quantum will ship a replacement product or part to the customer’s site before the defective product or part is returned to Quantum. The replacement product or part will be shipped within 24 hours (Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, excluding Quantum or country holidays) after the request. The Rapid Exchange warranty also entitles the customer to hardware telephone support and access to StorageCare’s library eSupport Web application.
