• AL810 has been designed to adhere to the Ultrium 1 format of LTO technology providing high capacity, high performance data protection designed for scalability now and into the future.

• Certance AL810 has a compression engine that runs at 80 Mbytes per second, the same speed as the SCSI bus. This provides an advantage compared with other "Super Tape" drives when recording highly compressible data. The AL810 is capable of up to 5:1 compression while the competitive drives max out at approximately 2.5:1. 
• FastSense by Certance provides a performance/reliability advantage over Quantum, HP and IBM. FastSense alters tape speed in 5 steps, each 2 Mbytes per second. This allows the Certance AL810 autoloader to be the most flexible when it comes to speed variability. 
• Dynamic PowerDown is a Certance unique reliability technology that is designed to protect the tape drive in the event of a sudden power failure.
