Sony DIR1000L

ID-1 Digital Instrumentation Recorder

dir1000m

For those with medium to heavy data storage requirements, Sony’s DIR-1000L ID-1 Digital Instrumentation Recorder is a 19mm helical scan tape recorder that conforms to the ANSI X3.175-1990 ID-1 standard, recording and reproducing at 1, 1.3, 2, 4, and 8 Megabytes/sec. The ID-1 format utilizes azimuth recording techniques, which minimizes the effects of mis-tracking and insures greater cross-play among all ID-1 type units.

Up to 64Mb/s (8MB/s) data transfer rate

DIR-1000L recorder conforms to the ANSI Standard ID-1 format for digital instrumentation recording

Helical scan recording provides extremely high density while ensuring greater reliability for interchange
