IBM 3581 LTO Tape Autoloader

The IBM 3581 tape autoloaders feature 8 tape cartridge slots and LTO Ultrium 2 or 3 tape drives. Configure the 3581 as a standalone unit, or rackmount it in a slim 2U form factor. With the latest technologies, you can fit up to 3.2TB native data capacity in a unit that features 80Mbps native data transfer rates.

Ideal for those that needs a high-performance tape backup with or without random access, an optional bar-code reader can be added. The 3581 tape autoloader is also compatible with WORM technology for regulatory compliance, and can include an optional remote management unit, which allows you to remotely manage the IBM 3581 from a web browser.

The IBM 3581 also features a built-in, fully-featured LCD unit to provide information regarding power, drive, and autoloader status, as well as error status and message information.

IBM’s newest LTO tape solution that replaces the 3581, the TS3100, features expanded capacity as well as additional standard and optional features.
