From easy installation to easy maintenance, the Q24 entry-level LTO tape library is designed to be Simply Reliable™. Feature-rich and compact in a 2U 19-inch rackmount form-factor, the Q24 offers capacities up to 60 terabytes (native) and 150 terabytes (compressed). The menu-driven graphical built-in operator control panel is easy to use, and the identical functionality may also be accessed via the integrated browser-based remote management interface (RMI). This enables IT administrators to remotely configure, manage and diagnose the library from anywhere in the world via the Internet. When an LRM unit and a MEM unit are attached side-by-side, the patented Compass Architecture of the LRM’s robotic tape handler enables it to directly access tapes in the carousel storage slots of the MEM unit. Alternating LRM and MEM units may be ‘daisy chained’ to achieve a tape capacity of as many as 7,500 cartridges.
