Transporter GenesisTransporter For Business        For Groups

A private cloud file storage delivered in a powerful, easy to deploy appliance.

For the user, the experience is just like Dropbox with all of the benefits you’d expect from a public cloud file solution, yet the data remains under your control.

Choose where your data is located, who has access, how many copies there are and enjoy a level of privacy and control the public cloud can’t match.

Public cloud storage services like Box and Dropbox are designed to store everything on their infrastructure and transfer all of your data through their servers.

Transporter is designed to leverage your existing infrastructure and put you back in total control of your data. As appliances you own and deploy, Transporters can be placed in secure locations that you choose giving you 100% control over where your data is stored. Data is automatically synced across your Transporters allowing you to also control the level of redundancy to ensure continued operations in any situation.

Delivers 100% Privacy

  • Connected Data’s central service is used to establish secure, encrypted connections between authorized Transporters in a similar fashion to how Skype works.
  • Once an authorized connection is established, the data and metadata are encrypted at the source using military-grade AES-256 encryption and then transferred directly from Transporter to Transporter.
  • Your data is never stored in the cloud and private encryption keys are generated and maintained directly on the devices ensuring that no one – not even Connected Data – has access to or visibility into your data.
  • Provides Fast Local PerformanceAnother benefit of Transporter’s distributed model is it allows corporate IT to place appliances directly in locations with limited Internet bandwidth to improve performance. Getting fast Internet service at remote offices and temporary locations like construction sites can be both costly and difficult.
  • Using public cloud services can compound this issue as they have to transfer every new or modified file over the Internet, even if it is only being shared between local employees.
  • The Transporter range includes appliances designed specifically for small offices that are intelligent enough to handle a majority of the file transfers on the local network to reduce the Internet bandwidth used and make your remote workers more productive.

Solutions

Legal

Protecting, accessing and sharing confidential files is a challenge for law firms of all sizes. Public cloud storage solutions offer convenience, but do not provide control over location and privacy of files to ensure attorney-client privilege is maintained.

Healthcare

Protecting, accessing and sharing Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is critical for all healthcare professionals. The recently released Omnibus Rule extends HIPAA requirements to business associates.

Financial Services

All public accounting firms face the challenge of protecting sensitive client files. At the same time, those files must often be shared or accessed remotely. Data loss or accidental exposure of confidential information can be catastrophic for a small practice. Public cloud storage solutions offer convenience, but do not provide control over location and privacy of files to ensure confidentiality is maintained.

Education

The days of carrying thumb drives are over! Transporter allows you to create your very own private cloud for sharing projects, collaborating with students, collecting homework assignments, and storing important files securely and privately.

Design/Build

The architectural, engineering, and construction industries are rapidly moving to mobile devices for managing project content between offices and in the field. As a result, there is a growing need to remotely access and share files anywhere in the world, from any device. Many firms have turned to cloud providers only to discover storage and per-user fees spiraling out of control.

Creative Services

Advertising agencies, graphic design companies, public relations firms, and software development houses are just a few examples of small businesses that constantly need to share large files between remote co-workers and clients. Cloud services offer convenience, but can quickly get expensive as the businesses scale.
